I say with certainty that there has been a day where you’ve said, “I got my eating right today’.

It might have been yesterday or a long time ago but it’s there. That day.

What did it feel like to get it right?

And more importantly what was ‘right’? That’s the real question.

Was ‘right’ certain food choices? Was ‘right’ eating at certain times? Were you organised? Did you follow through with your intentions? Did you cook for yourself ? What was your self-talk like? Did you slow down and enjoy your food?

What was that magic combination of things that made you say that you got your eating right?

You see, if you feel you’re off-track and want to find a better track then that is the place to start – the day you got it ‘right’. There’s wisdom in that day and I’m curious about it.

This is what I mean when I say there are two experts in the room. Sure, I bring expertise in nutritional coaching. I understand how to create a nutrition plan that gets you closer to your goals but you……you bring expertise in how you think and behave around food, how nutrition needs to fit in your unique life…so you can visit ‘right’ more often.

There are vast amounts of expertise within you when it comes to eating. After all, you’ve been eating your whole life.  How can I anticipate what’s going to work and what’s going to be an obstacle for you?

When you bring your expertise into the consultation and I bring mine that’s when we get to create nutrition that works with you and for you.

Will you have to make food adjustments, bring some focus and organisation to your nutrition? Of course but we’ll talk about that and be realistic about what’s possible in your time frame and within your life structure.

Will your nutrition change over time? Probably – because life and bodies change.

What doesn’t change is our ability to apply your expertise and my expertise. So for the next while or until we talk just notice what qualifies as getting it ‘right’ and bring that to our conversation.
